Daniel Dittert studied law in Munich and Paris. Since the year 2000 he is a civil servant of the European Union. In this capacity, he initially worked for the European Commission in Brussels. He later moved to the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, where he was a legal secretary in the Cabinet of Advocates General for 15 years, before being appointed Head of Unit at the Registry in 2018. Daniel Dittert is the author of numerous publications, i.a. author of a textbook and various commentaries on European law. He also teaches European law and works as an instructor in various training courses for lawyers.
